General Discussion
1. Make a proper itinerary schedule plan during monsoon weather, we recommend you make your daily drive hours minimum 3 and not more than 5 hours daily specially in mountain areas.
2. Confirm your hotel reservations in advance and make sure your accommodation is family recommended and reputed hotels situated in major cities/areas only.
3. Must check weather conditions 24/48 hours before your departure. Monitor alerts and weather reports for flash flood warnings and updates.
4. Hiring a local experienced guide in remote area is better option.
5. Stay away or alert near rivers, waterfalls.
6. Avoid eating raw food in monsoon.
7. Avoid roadway underpasses, drainage ditches, rivers sides, low lying/landsliding areas and areas where water collects – they can unexpectedly flood or overflow.
8. Avoid driving if it's heavy monsoon rainfall. If possible, park and wait until the rain has slowed or stopped to continue your journey.
9. Avoid Sudden turns or braking too hard.
10. If you can, avoid driving during a monsoon. This may not always be possible, but if your destination can wait, it’s best to stay off the roads. If you must drive, take it slow and give yourself extra time to reach your destination :)
